Book Review+Release Blitz: Fracture (#2 Blood & Roses) by Callie Hart

Title: Fracture (#2 Blood and Roses)

Author: Callie Hart

Genre: Erotica

Release Date: April 7, 2014

Zeth Mayfair is pretty much the last thing I need in my life. And yet with every breath I take he becomes more engrained in every aspect of it:

He has a key to my house.

He knows where I work.

He's dumped his strange, mentally traumatized housemate on my doorstep and has driven off into the sunset in search of my missing sister.

I want to forget him. Want to change the locks and blot out his face, scourge his very name from my memory. The problem is that I also need him. I need him more than I need air to breath, and I can’t be without him now.

He owns me.

He torments me.
He’s fractured me.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ANOTHER AMAZING INSTALLMENT!! I love Callie Hart's Blood and Roses Series so much! Every book is genius and they keep getting better than the rest! With that said, definitely read the first book DEVIANT!

"It's so weird how Zeth can make one part of me so wet and then another part of me so ridiculously dry."  -Sloane

Fracture starts exactly where Deviant ended. Sloane's in her house with the man she loves to hate and hates to love standing in her house. You know that hotty Zeth. This book leads us on the journey of Zeth making his super sketchy connections in order to rescue Sloane's sister. And of course we get a twist that's a bit of a shock but is going to make the next books come ALIVE!

"You gave yourself to me back at my apartment; I've never done it before, but I gave myself in return. I may not have wanted to, Sloane, but I didn't have a fucking say in the matter."  -Zeth

After I finished reading this book, I was kind of hoping for more relationship building between our hero and heroine. But as I was reflecting, I realized the majority of the book was the audience receiving our hero/heroine's inner feelings about themselves and their counterpart. We learn A LOT more about Zeth. And we get a feel for how Sloane is leaning towards her feelings with him. This second installment is not an HEA because obviously the story is going to continue, so just like Zeth warned Sloane in book 1, don't expect hearts and flowers between the love birds!

"Just for a second felt like she might be capable of gluing me back together, too."  -Zeth

Overall, this book is just completely fantastic. It's a quick 4.5 STARS out of 5 STARS read that will have you on your feet for the next one! I'm only taking off point 5 because I really wish the books were longer. I cannot wait to see what Callie Hart has in store for all of us Sleth and Zoane fans!!

Callie Hart is a bagel eating, coffee drinking denizen of the greatest city on this earth. Born in Colorado, she moved to The Big Apple to study and undertake the Bar exam, and in the meantime she wrote this book! She lives on a ridiculously high floor in a way-too expensive building with her fiancé and their pet goldfish, Neptune. Deviant is the first installment in her Blood and Roses series. The next installment, Fracture, is scheduled to be released in April.
