I've read so many Bella Jewel books, but this is probably my favorite biker romance she has written. I did find some parts of this book to make my opinion vary. Our main character felt like one giant contradiction. At first, we get a sense that she takes no crap, but when she comes up against strong situations, she turns out to be a really delicate flower. I just could not get a sense of her character, thus it felt like she was all over the place.
"He wants to keep me? What if I don't want to be kept?"
Ash is one of the toughest prison guards you'll ever encounter. Patrolling the high risk inmates is part of the job. Ash knows how to handle them and they know what to expect from the "Wildcard". But Ash never thought she would be so enthralled by her newest inmate, Krypt. But she's about to learn who he really is when he escapes from prison and takes her as collateral damage.
"God. Just, God. He's perfect."
Overall, I thought this was a decent Bella Jewel novel, but I've read ones I've enjoyed more and ones I have enjoyed less. Therefore, I'm giving Precarious 4 STARS out of 5 STARS. I thought the writing was great and the storyline really flowed, but I wasn't too happy with the ending! The ending was a great segue into the next book (different hero/heroine), but I just wish we could see more of Ash and Krypt down the road.

Bella Jewel is an Aussie girl through and through. She spent her life in Western Australia, growing up in many different areas of the state. She now currently lives in Perth with her husband, children and mass amounts of pets. She's crazy, fun, outgoing and friendly. Writing is her passion, she started at the young age of 18 but finally got the courage up to publish, and her first novel Hell's Knights was released in August 2013.
